INTRODUCTION: The new coronavirus pandemic has causes major consequences for global health, and numerous of the effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection has not been fully elucidated for the scientific and academic community. OBJECTIVE: To inform academics in the health area about potential sequelae of COVID-19 and respective treatments. REPORT: The “Post-COVID Multidisciplinary Symposium” took place in 4 days (August 30 and 31, and September 1 and 2, 2021), remotely through the Stream Yard platform and broadcast on Youtube, in which the participants were able to interact via chat and send questions to foster the debate. On each day of the event, there were 2 lectures about respiratory damage, sequelae of smell and taste, sports performance, mental health, post-covid recovery, neurological disorders, vascular and cardiac complications and post-COVID global context. At the time of registration for the event and at the end of the lectures, spectators answered a Google Form with questions that aimed to rank, on a scale from 0 to 5, their knowledge about the topic of each class. Thus, the analysis of the positive difference between the responses to the pre-lectures and post-lectures forms allowed the symposium coordinators to analyse the impact of the event. DISCUSSION: The knowledge about the sequelae resulting from the new coronavirus infection is relevant, since thousands of people now suffer long-term effects of infection of the disease. Furthermore, knowledge gaps in this subject is an obstacle on the training of health professionals for the promotion of the physical, mental and social well-being of the population on the pandemic context. CONCLUSION: The event was a successful learning space for students, and collaborated for the proper management of post-COVID sequelae training of future health professionals.
