Introduction: Vitamin D supplementation has currently been used by many people, for different reasons and often in a discriminated way. This fact can contribute to the accumulation of this in the body, causing an overdose. Objective: To identify the production regarding the impacts of excessive use of vitamin D in clinical studies, through an integrative review. Methods: A search for articles was carried out in the LILACS, BVS, PUBMED databases and the CAPES journal portal in December 2021. The descriptors used were: Poisoning and Vitamin D. Results: The initial search found 159 articles and after analysis, 9 studies were selected. Discussion: In most studies, the most frequent clinical manifestations were electrolyte and gastrointestinal tract disorders, followed by renal disorders. Regarding the age of the patients, most were younger than 10 years old and the elderly were older than 70 years old. Conclusion: Vitamin D overdose can cause numerous clinical manifestations, but an expansion of the studies is necessary so that there is a greater knowledge of the population on the subject and to evidence its relationship with comorbidities.
