Introduction: Far beyond the coronavirus, the COVID-19 pandemic brought a very large emotional and psychological burden for society as a whole, which affected various social groups and age groups. Thus, this work aims to perform an integrative review about mental disorders and their associated factors in pandemic Brazil. Methodology: To proceed with such a study, a bibliographic search of articles pertinent to the theme was conducted in the "SciElo" and "Lilacs" databases, using descriptors defined according to the Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS), being them: "coronavirus infections", "anxiety", "depression". Results: After selection based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 11 articles were selected for this review. Discussion: The critical analysis of the articles showed the fragility of the mental health of a wide range of individuals, among them health professionals and women. There was also a significant increase in the number of cases of depression, anxiety, and sleep-related problems. The uncertainty about the future and the absence of a cure for the virus were factors that were associated with these ailments. Consequently, high levels of stress, fear, and anguish are perceived by the general population, which often does not seek help. This illustrates that practices such as Yoga and Reiki can be great tools for good mental health. Conclusion: It can be argued that the situation of doubt and great fear made society susceptible to routine changes and triggered new negative patterns in people's lives, threatening their well-being in many ways. Therefore, actions are needed to motivate them to seek measures, such as physical activity and even therapeutic treatment, aiming at improving and consolidating their mental health status.
