Abstract: Introduction: Migraine is prevalent in 18% of the population, being more frequent in women. Migraine carriers develop chronic and disabling symptoms, which reduce work productivity and impair social life. Despite its clinical and epidemiological importance, there are few studies on the relationship between migraine and its influence on cerebrovascular disorders, making it a difficult situation to understand and treat for professionals working in the area. The aim of this review will be to understand the association between migraine and cerebrovascular disorders. Methodology: This is an integrative review, using articles from the PubMed, BVS, Scielo, Cochrane and Scopus databases. Studies carried out with humans and animals in the last 10 years, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, were included. Exclusion parameters were: duplicate articles, escape from the topic, reviews and unavailable works. Kappa coefficient was not calculated. Results: Despite the disagreement on the vascular pathophysiology of migraine, studies converge on the prevalence of Stroke (CVA), Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) and Transient Global Amnesia (TGT) in patients with migraine, especially in those with aura. Topiramate and calcium blockers had lower risks. Discussion: Prevalence of Ischemic and Hemorrhagic Stroke, AGL and TIA in the migraine population, with a possible relationship between these findings and the presence of the patent foramen ovale (PFO), aura and patient age. There must be care in the drug treatment, avoiding the worsening of symptoms. Conclusion: An association was found between migraine and cerebrovascular disorders, especially in cases with aura and in pathophysiological correlations related to PFO, paradoxical embolisms and coagulation disorders.
